Cheesecake Day
Celebrate National Cheesecake Day at Buttercup Grill & Bar

15 graham crackers, crushed
2 tablespoons butter, melted
4 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
1 1/2 cups white sugar |
3/4 cup milk
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
DIRECTIONS:
1. | Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9 inch springform pan. |
2. | In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press onto bottom of springform pan. |
3. | In a large bowl, mix cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Blend in milk, and then mix in the eggs one at a time, mixing just enough to incorporate. Mix in sour cream, vanilla and flour until smooth. Pour filling into prepared crust. |
4. | Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Turn the oven off, and let cake cool in oven with the door closed for 5 to 6 hours; this prevents cracking. Chill in refrigerator until serving. |

Yum! This sounds delicious, Jessica! What a treat that you’re sharing your top secret recipe. How often do you do that? What flavors of cheesecake will you be serving on Cheesecake day? Do you anticipate a lot of people coming to the restaurant just for the Cheesecake? Oh and do you have a chocolate Cheesecake on the menu?

Hey Suse! Thanks for commenting. My mom always shares a recipe in her monthly newsletter . We serve a classic New York style creamy cheesecake with blueberry sauce served on the side. Hopefully this blog post along with other social media posting on Cheesecake Day will get the message out there and result in traffic in the restaurant! There is no chocolate cheesecake but that sounds delicious, great idea. We do have a chocolate silk pie it is chocolate overload! If you can’t get enough chocolate I would definitely recommend it!

Never knew there was a Cheesecake Day. I guess they have a day for just about everything. My boyfriend’s kids love going to the Buttercup in Oakland. Mainly for your breakfast. Perhaps we’ll all stop by on Cheesecake Day. I will also see if I can make your mom’s cheesecake recipe. Hmm…wonder if I can make it just as good. We’ll see…
Thanks for sharing!

My mouth is watering just reading your post. I’m impressed by the sheer number of times you were able to get “cheesecake” in there– simultaneously boosting your keyword use AND making the audience salivate ;-). Dying to try the recipe now, cool you’re sharing!

Thanks Connie! Does my keyword sound repetitive?
